Wynk Collaborative

Established in 2011, Wynk Collaborative is a Singapore-based design studio whose work is centered around spatial design and deals with all aspects surrounding it. Our process is rooted in the idea of collaboration and we believe in the power of good design to influence and create change. By looking beyond the confines of architecture, interiors and landscape, we create experiences that delight and touch the soul.

Hon Kit graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2008 with a Master of Architecture degree. His design approach works off a contrast between function and play, and is rooted in a deeply humanist design ethos, an influence from his time spent in Sweden and Norway as a student. He has experience working with design consultancy IDEO and is a frequent collaborator with various branding and design agencies.
Jian Xin graduated from NUS in 2008 with a Master’s degree in Architecture. He has worked on projects ranging from master planning to architectural works and interiors earlier in his career. He is interested in how things work and indulges in the delight of everyday occurrences. He believes that design thinking is a powerful tool that can be used to better lives, both physically and experientially.

Mossing is a prototype outdoor furniture that encourages goodwill and interaction within the community that it is installed in.

It is envisioned to be a seat height platform done in an organic shape that is constructed from layers of stacked wooden batten or rectangular steel sections. Each layer is laid at 30 degrees relative to the adjacent layer, forming a lattice with openings that allows plants and flowers to be inserted. Users will be able to insert flowers and plants of their choice into the openings, creating a community-generated ikebana arrangement. Mossing may be used as a single piece or as a cluster of various sizes. It may also be coupled with a florist whom which the user may purchase botanicals to add on the arrangement already on display.
