The Global Liveability Index, compiled and announced annually by The Economist, has ranked 140 cities worldwide based on various extrinsic and intrinsic factors, proving that the concept of “liveability” is apparently, quite quantifiable. For professional architects and city planners, how should a city develop its liveability? And, what are the determining factors behind the process of urbanization?

From a macro point of view, the symposium will begin with a discussion on how current social structure and urban planning would impact the future of a city, followed by an in-depth analysis on development trends in cities in southern China, including both Hong Kong and Macau. Finally, a conversational session will be led by the hosts to further evaluate the topics covered in the symposium, guiding the audience to continually ponder on the issues.

This is a speaker line-up that you would not want to miss out, come join us if you are interested in urban development!
